Dr. Jo Drahos, co-owner, is a 1994 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She was a practitioner in the Quad-Cities until her move to Muscatine and Riverside Animal Hospital in 2000.  Prior to obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Jo received her bachelors degree in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.  She also worked as a technician at two animal emergency centers.     

In addition to her talent in small animal medicine, her experience has made her one of eastern Iowa's top experts in pet bird medicine and surgery.  Dr. Jo emphasizes an approach to veterinary medicine that combines cutting edge sophistication with a gentle and caring bedside manner.

Dr. Jo is actively involved at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, coordinating enrichment and growth programs and leading an annual canoe trip for teens in the Boundry Waters of northern Minnesota.   Dr. Jo also enjoys involvement in community theatre projects, having appeared in "Godspell" last spring and "The King and I" with the Muscatine Masquers this fall.
