Behavior

Problem behavior is the number one cause of relinquishment of pets to shelters and rescues.  Here at Riverside Animal Hospital, we have a goal to help solve behavior problems in order for families to continue living in harmony with their beloved four legged friends.

The doctors and staff at Riverside Animal Hospital will be able to help you with any behavior problems your pet can present. From simple housetraining problems to serious behavioral issues such as separation anxiety or aggression, we have the tools needed to help.  Our behavior counseling will initiate in the exam room with your puppy or kitten kit, where your technician will go over basic housetraining tips and manners, along with puppy socialization information.

For more complicated behavior questions, the doctors and Judi Wiegle, Registered Veterinary Technician, collaborate to develop an individual behavioral wellness plan.  This may include medication as well as in home behavior modification sessions.  Please inquire as to the appropriateness of a behavior consultation for your pet with any behavior questions you have.  We are delighted to help.
